SEC Registration

To ensure transparency and protect investors, all Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) managing over $100 million in client assets are required to register with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This registration subjects firms to fiduciary standards and regulatory oversight, requiring them to publicly disclose key details about their business practices and conflicts of interest. Investors can verify the registration status and disciplinary history of any firm by searching the official Investment Adviser Public Disclosure (IAPD) database at adviserinfo.sec.gov.

Notes:

  • Palisade’s state-level registrations were “terminated” once Palisade registered directly with the SEC in late 2024. This was required due to the growth of Palisade’s assets under management, which exceeded $100M that year.

  • Palisade was originally founded as Jacobs Equity, but changed its name in 2025 to Palisade Wealth Management.
